2nd Annual "TonkaBall" Fest Tournament at Wolner Field |
|
The 2nd Annual Tonka Ball Tournament will be held at Wolner on July 17, 18, and 19th. This tournament is for teams from East Tonka, South Tonka and Upper Tonka Little Leagues and will include newly formed teams of players who were not selected to the 10, 11 and 12 year old All Star teams. All 9 yr old players are eligible to play.
If your child would like to play, please contact the following by Sunday, July 5th:
11 and 12 yr olds: Andy Marquis at bankofmarquis@frontiernet.net
9 and 10 yr olds: Will Wisegarver at wisepropinc@msn.com
(9 and 10 yr olds will be on separate teams)
Teams will be formed and posted online. Coaches are still needed so please let the contact person know if you can help coach when you send your email. Coaches will set up times for the kids to practice during the week prior to the tournament.
No trophies or prizes will be awarded; all teams will play 3 games during the weekend tournament.
Our league will earn money from the concessions sold during the tournament and we ask that parents help work. If your child will not be participating, please still feel free to help out with concessions, announcing, etc. We'll need lots of volunteers to make our visiting teams feel welcome.
Please call Deb Bennyhoff if you have specific questions, otherwise send your email including your child's name, age, parent's names and contact telephone numbers to the contact person above.
Thanks!

UTLL Recycles! |
|
The Upper Tonka Little League has made a commitment to recycle materials generated by the Wolner Field concessions. Blue recycling containers are now located at the fields for the recycling of plastic bottles (from water bottles, Gatorade, etc.) and cardboard boxes generated from the concession stand will also be recycled.
Recycling is the right thing to do and an important lesson we can teach our children. Please use the blue recycling containers and contact Deb Bennyhoff at 612.964.1400 if you have any questions or would like help with this effort.
